We're finalizing our semi monthly pay dates for the year and debating between the 1st & 15th vs. the 15th and last day of the month. Which is more common and easier to manage? What does your team do when a scheduled pay date lands on a weekend or holiday?

The most common semi-monthly pay dates are the 15th and the last day of the month. This schedule splits the month into two pay periods: 1st–15th and 16th–end of the month. Some companies instead use the 1st and the 15th, but 15th & last day is more widely used because it aligns better with standard payroll processing and monthly accounting cycles.

"Hey everyone, I've worked with a few clients who have semi-monthly pay dates, and I've found that they tend to be the 1st and 15th, or the 15th and last day of the month. The 1st/15th combo is probably the most common, but it really depends on the company's pay schedule and industry. Does anyone have any specific experience with this?"

The most common semi-monthly pay dates are the 1st and 15th or the 15th and last day of the month. Many businesses prefer the 15th and last day option because it aligns better with monthly accounting, payroll processing, and financial reporting cycles.

If you're getting a "this site can't be reached" error, I'd try checking your internet connection first, make sure it's stable and working properly. Sometimes it's just a simple issue like your wifi being down or your router needing a restart. If that's not the problem, try clearing your browser's cache and cookies, this can often resolve issues like this. You could also try using a different browser or checking if the site is down for everyone, maybe it's just a temporary issue with the website itself.
