Can I Use Vertex for Payroll – Is It a Good Option?

I've been hearing about Vertex for payroll and want to know if it's actually a reliable tool for managing payroll. Does it work well for small businesses or is it more suited for large companies? Can someone share their experience using Vertex for payroll?

Vertex is mainly built for tax compliance (sales tax, VAT, etc.), not full payroll management, so it’s not really a complete payroll solution on its own; you could use it alongside a payroll system to handle tax calculations, but if you’re looking for something all-in-one, tools like ADP, Gusto, or QuickBooks Payroll are much more practical. I’d only go with Vertex if tax complexity is your main concern and you already have payroll covered elsewhere.
