I keep hearing about PF deductions in salaries. What is Provident Fund, how does it work, and what benefits does it provide?

It is basically a retirement savings plan where both you and your employer put a little chunk of your paycheck away each month. It is honestly great because it forces you to build up a nice nest egg for the future!

Provident Fund (PF) is an investment option that involves regular savings by both employees and the employer. It is useful in generating savings, earning income, providing security, and meeting post-retirement expenses.

Provident Fund (PF) is a savings scheme for retirement where employee and the employer save a portion of the employee's salary regularly. It assists the employees to generate long-term financial security, earn interest on their savings and make a retirement fund. PF can also offer financial assistance in the event of a disaster, when someone needs housing, or when they experience a significant life change.
